Meet the team behind ReThread Research Lab
Two builders obsessed with helping small and mid-market businesses use technology to take back ownership of the tools they use.
Moaz Elhag
Moaz comes from technical program management at Microsoft and Cisco, where he led cross-functional teams shipping products used by millions. He understands how technology decisions compound into real cost for businesses. At ReThread, he drives the engineering and architecture behind every solution we deliver.
Ahmad Taleb
Ahmad has spent a decade building and shipping products at companies like Apple, TripAdvisor, and Fitbod. He knows how systems break at scale, how products get bloated, and where businesses quietly lose money to tools that don't fit. At ReThread, he turns that experience into lean solutions businesses actually own.
How we think about the work
Honesty over polish
We publish what we got wrong alongside what we got right. If the truth is uncomfortable, we say it anyway.
Ownership over dependency
Everything we build is yours to keep, adapt, and extend. No recurring fees. No lock-in. No "call us if it breaks."
Small fixes over big promises
We don't believe in "digital transformation." We believe in finding one thing that's broken and fixing it well.
Speed over perfection
We ship fast, test with real people, and iterate. A working solution this week beats a perfect plan next quarter.
Practical over theoretical
We do research to build the right thing, not to write a report. If it doesn't end in something you can use, we failed.
Sharing over hoarding
What we learn, we share publicly. Other owners shouldn't have to suffer through the same problems we already solved.
Why we started ReThread Research Lab
We kept seeing the same thing: small and mid-market businesses drowning in subscriptions, workarounds, and tools that promised everything but delivered friction.
Every vendor wanted a long-term contract. Every "solution" came with another monthly bill. And when something broke, the business owner was the one eating the cost.
We started ReThread Research Lab because we believed there was a better way: pick a real problem, study it honestly, build the smallest fix that works, and give it to the business to own forever.
That's it. No pitch deck. No "innovation playbook." Just two people who'd rather solve problems than sell subscriptions.
Want to work with us?
We take on a small number of partner businesses each month. If you have a workflow that's driving you crazy, we'd like to hear about it.
